Michael Jackson’s Neverland Ranch Auction…That Never Happened
Some have dubbed the event “The greatest auction that never happened”. Scheduled to be auctioned April 22-25 of 2009 was several collectibles, furniture and memorabilia from the collection of Michael Jackson. The auction was halted by contractual agreements between Julian Auction House, who was to administer the auction and MJJ Productions, Jackson’s production company.
Video footage of the items that were to be auctioned has surfaced. Between April 14th and the 21st the items were open for the public viewing in Beverly Hills next to the acclaimed Beverly Hilton Hotel. Fans and collectors came by to see the many possessions of Michael Jackson from his Neverland Ranch home. Items ranged from Jackson’s personal memorabilia various tour outfits, portraits of the music icon and even his famed rhinestone white glove to music and movie memorabilia, arcade games, paintings and antique furniture.
