Short Film/Video I made for Omar Rodriguez-Lopez from The Mars Volta song

Short Film/Video I made for Omar Rodriguez-Lopez from The Mars Volta song

This is a short film/music video I wrote and filmed for the song “Here The Tame Go By” a song from Omar Rodriguez-Lopez’s first solo project “A Manual Dexterity: Soundtrack, Volume One”. The album from which the song appeared is actually the soundtrack to a film that Omar never recorded. This is my attempt to create a visual to accompany the music.

I call it: Barkley’s Awakening

Hope you enjoy!!!

The Mars Volta interview with Nardwuar

The Mars Volta interview with Nardwuar

Omar Rodriguez and Cedric Bixler of The Mars Volta are interviewed by the unforgettable Nardwuar The Human Serviette in Vancouver, Canada. Nardwuar asked them about some of their favorite bands,  early influences, working with Rick Rubin and life on the road. They also speak on how they met and recruited new drummer Thomas Pridgen. Definitely one of the most interesting interviews with The Mars Volta. The interview is in 2 parts and was recorded around the time Bedlam in Goliath was released.
